Just hanging out! Cool painting ~
Hi Mary, you’re welcome here whenever!
So simple and yet such a statement in those few lines and colours-Love it! 🙂
Thanks Karen. That scene seemed to be solid and portable. Have been carrying it around in my head for some time.
It’s lovely when you have things like that in your head and then one day they materialise to be shared with others too!
I’m feeling guilt for some reason because the things that get a positive response seem to take little effort! Why am I needlessly bringing in an extra layer of anxiety?!
Never feel guilt!
Though I do know what you mean, as artists we are our own worst critique !!!!
Sharing what is in you and comes so naturally , not only shows your style, but as you have said… pleases many!! Keep up the great work 🙂
🙂
Is this a further refinement of Take me Home Country Roads? I like the pared down simplicity – as if the forest and hills are sitting in a curled autumn leaf.
It was one sketch along that had more of the trees’ texture, but yes the same scene. Done very quickly, but appears to have something. I do like wet ploughed fields. A memorable spot. I’m told there are ley lines around about there.
Love this
Thank you. Not sure what I think of it. Just chucked it in, but seems to be getting a positive response
Deservedly positive. You have a great style which brings your field sketches into pictures and moves to abstraction without loss of a sense of landscape. So there .. . it’s from the heart but sounds pretentious twaddle 🙂
Why thank you KA. Was going to launch into a contrary argument, but do you know what? I’m going to continue being positive and just take the compliment. Thank you
Very cool abstract, outside authority!
Thank you Leslie 🙂
Wow!
Thank you!
