    Hi
I thought I should mention that I have nominated you for an award. http://kestrelart.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/award-ceremony/. These awards are memes or mind-viruses, so as far as I am concerned please accept the award but do not feel obliged to follow its instructions unless you want to. I nominated you simply because I enjoy seeing your posts when they drop in my inbox.

Thanks for visiting The White Swan. I love your rendering of trees, very expressive. Keep creating!

    • Thanks for commenting. I’ve just realised reading your comment that I’m trying to capture the spaces between the trees. The trees themselves are a bit of an afterthought?

hi – and thanks for the like 🙂

  16. I’d love to think your image reflects one of the best records ever made… Tilt by Scott Walker https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt_(Scott_Walker_album)

    • Now I would be lying if I said I had consciously done that, but subconsciously, who knows? Although it may be nearer to a Stranglers album I have which googling Tilt has reminded me of.

I love your wildness and your ceaseless experimentation! I think you obey Frederick Franck’s 10 commandments:

    the 10 commandments

    • Thank you Jacqueline! The commandments are wonderful and I’m glad you think I get close to them on occassions. I’ve picked out no.4 ‘do not promptly forget your bad (paintings)’ and no.6 the ‘trust none but your own eye’. I find it very hard to distinguish the good stuff from the bad and take my lead from others too much even though I know they have different tastes to me. If you know the answer to this problem, please share it!
