Building, Prague?

As time has been taken up by viruses, Xmas shopping, conference, kids parties etc etc, nothing new this week. Instead, a blast from the past. Created out of Rachel Grigor’s one day building workshop at Lakeside from a holiday snap. I remember lots of quick exercises to get us thinking about scale. My interest was caught by how buildings pierce or buffet the sky.

I think this is a stunning picture and my favourite in the exhibition alongside a snow scene. Walking around though I couldn’t help Enid Blyton keep coming to mind.

An unbelievably skilled watercolour, photo doesn’t do it justice.

An hour and a half on the park, quick drink in the cafe then a mooch round the exhibition, what great Sunday afternoon. We were amazed by what he’d created with watercolours. This one was one of the standouts for me as well as The Riot, the Denver (?) bar and the landscapes. I’d have a go, but I don’t think I can afford the paint.
