I like the cross-section of different work that you’ve put up here. The unhappy infant in number 3 looks adroitly captured!

    • I’m struggling to concentrate on anything at the moment, but keep dabbling with this and that to keep my eye in. I has holding the baby, so yes, he was unhappy. I don’t exude comfort and safety to newborns!

Perhaps you’re being overly modest!? I know what you mean about concentration. I’m tapping out email as we speak because I prefer to do that in lieu of roaming the house trying to put prices on my dad’s art works.

        • It’s the jumping from one thing to another with big gaps inbetween that feels uncontrolled and unproductive for me. But there’s one or two ideas/treatments I like in here. I’ve just got back from town and now I’ve realised I didn’t take any photos.

Very well put. I consider myself very poor at “multitasking” (I don’t even trust the word). If several exigencies arise simultaneously I’m stymied as to what to attack. I often fall back on something diversionary and pleasant, like this conversation! We’re in somewhat similar circumstances, I think, with impending events snatching us from routine. I will post today on my little blog an item relating to mine just for the fun of it. I hadn’t though of doing this until now. Cheers and “bon courage”!

            • I’m shocked at how easy it is for me to grind to a halt. Entirely psychological, but feels acutely physical. Will look out for your post. I’ve got a list of things I should be doing too.

  2. So much great variety of technique and exploration—it’s fun to track your work!

    • Hi Glenn. I’m struggling to concentrate at the moment, so these are slightly random, ‘if and when’ attempts. But, it’s all practice and thinking in the end so hopefully not watsed time. Number two was from waiting at the railway station. I decided only to draw the bright patches of light that fell on the wall/ floor from the windows. It gave a completely different representation of the interior. I’m going to try that again. Thanks for your continuing encouragement!
