  1. Ah I was waiting to see what you came up with. Loving the orange linework.

Really good to see these again and to see how different are our approaches. You don’t use pencil construction first. The third one down of the canoe is bold and striking. Then I am also drawn to the feeling of solidity in the drawings on the last page. Your first figures are more abstracted than mine, more confident I think. Also you’ve tried to chase the looping feel of some of the carvings.
I like Rosie’s suggestion to go to the British Museum sometime.
    A good day’s art I think.

    • Our different approaches are quite marked. I thought yours was more confident and effective though. I felt quite restrained sketching. It’s the last two pictures ( the last done on the day too) I liked best. But that group of 4 figures is growing on me, more for how they remind me of the objects rather than the rendition. Definately something to be done again! Good to get out of my comfort zone. I think my favourite object was still that wave/ water map. I think Leonie in your comment section, was referring to the same programme I had seen.

  3. It’s good I like how much depth you give the drawings with few lines
