  1. Gah! That I ever allow myself to be this free. Love them. I know what you mean about post gallery motivation.

    • Ha! it was a little out of the ordinary for me. Looking at them now, it feels like I attacked the paper! Only in the last graphite one do I return to my ‘usual’ so I promptly called it a day. Good to break out now and then, but hard to hold onto it. I’ve not done any art for a couple of weeks and it feels like I’ll have to start all over again

  2. I love the drawings and paintings. They have such energy of someone knows exactly what they want and drawn often. I admire your free style and way of working. I would love to be able to do this. It must feel wonderful.

    • Thank you so much. As with everyone else (I suspect), what I do is never quite good enough for me. Makes us keep reaching and trying I suppose. I have looked at someone else’s work today on a blog and thought, I wish I could do that, they’re so lucky! From the return comment I don’t think they valued it the same!

Your work has such impact, it’s hard for me to say anything useful. It evokes controlled, inspired abandon. It blasts me out of a certain paralysis of drawing fear. Number 6 of this series, for example, is wildly inspirational. I gather from the comments that you experience something similar from gallery visits.
