Obling long

  1. Art work is personal, and I enjoy each one you share. I always feel a bit guilty praising one over another – they are like children, and I want them all to feel appreciated. (yes, I do need help ;-). That said, I love #2 – such strong lines and form but with a quiet presence. Then you go and knock my socks off with the last one.
Do you have favorites of your own? I always wonder how artists can possibly choose them. Anyway, thanks for sharing them all.

    • Thank you! I don’t reflect on the work I finish as much as I should. I tend to bang them on the blog and leave them, so don’t really give them much time initially. It tends to be the ones I hate I spend time with to try and work out why I hate them or why it went wrong – (I tend generally to focus on the negative rather than the positive!) Lots on this particular posts were re-working or working from earlier pictures which felt like cheating even though it’s not. I think I like the first one best as it is simple but grows out of the page, but the yellow ones certainly pack a punch! Thanks for visiting and commenting. Lovely to get an independent view and see what other people like.

  2. Fortunately, you can be master of your own universe when you are the artist. I think that is one reason I am so smitten. You can choose to work on whatever makes you happy. Downright therapeutic! 🙂
