  1. I like this friendly portrait. Was looking back at your ‘face from paint’ to see if it was a continuation (since the colours are similar) and I must have been on auto-pilot that day, but I didn’t realize that the earlier painting was a face that appeared from layers of paint – interesting!

    This is great, it’s got a very warm, fuzzy quality (in a good way). How did you find the water based oils (I’ve just been given some, and have never even worked in normal oils, hence the question)? 🙂

    • I’ve never really used traditional oils either. I’ve tried them one or twice, but as they gave me a sore throat and cough, I never got to work out what I could do with them. ( to be fair, sitting near someone wearing too much perfume on a bus sets me off as well). I really like the water based ones and how they feel, mix and can be wiped off. I struggle when I swap back to my rather thin feeling acrylics now.
