What I love is the effortless coding of image in layers using the three colours. I was teaching how to code clinical data for research last week, but can’t quite get how to do this visually.

    • For pics 1 and 3, which I think work the best, is it just using the strong pink to throw things forward? I then lost this when using the pink to outline the solid imposing buildings and shapes in the later ones. The first 3 are best because it was before I’d begun to think too much (but not enough?) about what was in front of me. That was a good day and I’ve tried to develop those sketches to see what additional information the three colours gives me.

  2. https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsI like these a lot. Strong integration and interest, all the parts work together.

  3. 3 and 7 are the ones that work for me. All this plus Kathe Kollwicz sounds like a great day.

    • It was a great day! Lots of art conversation too, it set me off in a couple of new directions. I should be used to it now, but I’m always surprised when people pick different favourites to me. That’s why blogging is good for me. The standing figure in no. 3 makes me think of alfred hitchcock!

  4. I love the coloured line sketches!

  5. https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsThese drawings have depth and are expressive. Nicely done.
