    • It was a slip of the old phone finger last night that made me post it the day before (?). It’s on as today’s date now. I could tell you my name, but then I’d have to kill you. When i started blogging I wanted to be as anonymous as possible and just wanted to post the pictures with no comment. That’s slipped rather through writing comments, but then I didn’t realise what a social place WP would be! On here I’m OA and i’ve got to say I think and refer to my blogging friends by their blog names e.g Kestrel Art, memadtwo, ACE Art Chapin…. You are a bit different. I think it’s because of the double barrelled name, I’m always impressed by that and I can also imagine it being barked out on university challenge when someone buzzes in. I might start referring to you as MC, although I might prefer TINC. Where did that phrase/title come from by the way?

      • I see, OA. I shall respect your anonymity! TINCa is an acronym for There Is No Cavalry. I used it to ‘brand’ a range of t-shirts I produced. But I quite like Tinc. It has magical fairy qualities about it! Oh, almost forgot, love the embroidery. 🙂

        • I like the phrase, but it’s a bit sad there is no cavalry, but that would explain why I’m still waiting for them. Thanks re the birds.

          • Well, if you read the ‘about’ page of my blog, I mean it in a positive way. But you’re not alone in thinking it as being negative.

            • I see what you mean but I like to think at High Noon (i watched that again last week) I’ll have my own quaker shooting someone in the back. It will probably be my sister. At times of stress, we’ve always asked each other if they want us to get the ‘posse’ together. We’ve never had to use it yet, but in our minds it’s there – even if it’s just the other one turning up to be at a hopeless situation.

    • I wasn’t happy with how I’d left two of these (i think they’ve been posted before) so washed half the paint off and went bolder. I think the blackbird is much happier in the green grass.

    Really like the middle one – the way the background becomes part of the bird, & that you’ve just put the essentials in.

  3. I like the simplicity of marks and shape of birds. colors zing together too. That is stitch isn’t it?

    • Stitch and some acrylic paint half washed off. The blackbird didn’t come to life until the background was added. Not sure the wren is finished yet, I’m finding her elvis hairstyle distracting!
