Whitby Crowd

September 3, 2016

Leonie’s tip to capture hairstyles in sketches beginning to pay off. I’ll add ears for dogs to that.

  1. Love the continuous line townscapes.

    • The buildings are all huddled and crushed around the harbour so i thought blind continuous line would suit the subject. Also i don’t ever need an excuse to do it! I think it aids comprehension of scale and relationships. Thanks for visiting

  6. Woah! That’s a really unique style of sketch that I’m seeing for the first time. Keep it up!

    Lovely little sketches

  8. Very cool, outsideauthority! I love all those little people studies, but most of all that little dog! It looks like your village was all drawn with continuous line. Bravo! Love it!

    • It is a nice little group of sketches I think. I wonder if those people would recognise themselves. I’d like to be captured in a time and place in someone’s sketch, perhaps I am. I love the seaside, I hope that shows in these sketches
