  1. Lovely family portrait!

  2. You capture expressions so very well – lovely bold line work too 🙂

    I love these bold landscapes

  5. Hi OutsideAuthority, I find the portrait of you and you sister is brave and bold. You nailed it.
In the second painting, I love the sky and the trees, and the green on the fields is very original.

Inspiration is hard to maintain, I keep a notebook close at hand and when I get an idea, I write it down immediately, and that is my store of ideas for when I get stuck. I have also created a deck of 100 cards, with ideas, but unfortunately it is only in Norwegian, but some of these days I will translate it into English and post it on my blog.

  6. Hi. Do you write your ideas down as words or sketches, both? Yes, please share some of your card ideas, especially for colour as i struggle with this particularly. I tend to fall back on exercises from life drawing – negative shapes, left hand, continuous line and blind drawing. I also have lists of colours used in paintings I like, but then can’t recreate them! I love painting but recent results have thrown me back to b/w sketching. Thanks for the encouragement. 🙂
