    Especially like the brooding atmosphere of the first one.

    • The shape of the land jutting out is so strong. I don’know how to handle it so haven’t had another go. I associate the image with a plate of meat which puts me off! I don’t think gravel pits ever look natural either.

    Yes, see what you mean – we have a flooded chalk quarry locally which creates the same ambivalence.

    • You are developing a different style of your own which grows with each post. I will get over to your site this week and point it out to you, but less eloquently than your comments! I tend to read blogs on my phone, but it is not always easy to comment so i have become a bit lazy at feeding back, but your recent landscapes I am very jealous of – beautiful light and you’ve become quite a master with your chosen tools
