  1. Absolutely wonderful; full of mood and atmosphere! I love this!

    • Thank you, Leslie, you are always so encouraging. See comment below for my misgivings, but looking at it again, I do like the fence/wire thingy! Perhaps I’ll crop the rest out…

      • OK. I read what you wrote, below. I look at your body of work and I follow you because I like how you capture the mood of something. Your colors mix and there is always a moodiness about your work. Not something dark or negative but something that comes with age and that thing called living. There’s a sense of longevity in what you paint and draw and I like that very much. You also have an interesting use of the format and the shapes of things that you arrange in a scene. I like that very much. Oh. …I also like the fence wiry thingy!

  2. Well done, showing the problems as well as the triumphs.

    • Yes, after all there’s a lot of misses before you get close to hitting. Not sure how this came to be so turgid though. So depressing when you have something completely different in mind and you can’t get it out. Have given up on this scene now.

  3. I like this a lot. The sketch is lovely and the painting has beautiful colours in it. It works really well.

When I saw the title: Never the Twain, I wondered if your life has a connection between Asia and so called Western countries. I agree that “Your colors mix and there is always a moodiness about your work. Not something dark or negative but something that comes with age and that thing called living. There’s a sense of longevity in what you paint and draw and I like that very much.” Thanks for stopping by my blog.
