where is this? Feels like … actually I can’t remember, I just picture the place, walking past derelict mills. Great places to draw. I need to do this.

  2. It’s by the canal in Nottingham city centre. I like the top photo best Possibly because it reminds me of the art school in Norwich where I first did some life drawing which is by the river. As you’ve probably realised my stuff is rather ‘ Life’ heavy although, following a one day workshop with Rachel Grigor, I’ve been thinking around buildings more. Did you spot the heron in the bottom photo?

I’ve got photographs from London’s wharfs that have a similar feel to this. They have long since been gentrified into posh flats. It is a planned project to develop some paintings from these. Thanks for yelling me the location. I wish I could place the image in my head of similar mills. I keep thinking Derbyshire but I am not sure.
    Cool heron.
    Good life drawing workshop?

  4. It was cancelled about 30 mins before the start. Very disappointed, especially as I was on may way to it. Tried some sketches that night, but started too late, I was already tired. Oh well.
